  • Paige Sanvold - Coach

    Paige Sandvold is a dedicated coach with a passion for fostering personal growth and development. Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Paige comes from a close-knit family that has always prioritized learning, hard work, and community engagement. Paige is a Marketing Manager at SaskTel and lives in the RM of Lumsden with her husband and two young sons. Her family is the foundation of her lifelong commitment to helping others pursue excellence and remains a constant source of inspiration and motivation. 

    With a playing and coaching career spanning 20+ years, Paige has gained diverse experience across numerous levels of hockey. Over the years, Paige has played NCAA Division 1 hockey, coached men’s hockey at the ACAC and USport levels, is in her second-year coaching with the Female U18 Team Saskatchewan program and her third season with the LBMHA AA Lynx program.

    Paige is trained in skills, skating, goaltending and developing defensemen and is a certified High-Performance hockey coach. Her career reflects her commitment to leadership, continuous learning, and the cultivation of positive relationships with peers, colleagues and athletes of all ages. 

    In addition to her on-ice achievements, Paige has a wealth of experience working with youth and young adults. Paige has been a volunteer soccer and baseball coach, organized and ran a summer sport group for kids ages 3-5 and works with individuals and teams to develop mental skills, instill confidence, and encourage teamwork and resilience. Her approach to coaching emphasizes personal growth, providing youth and young adults with the tools they need to succeed both on and off the ice. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by athletes, Paige takes pride in guiding the next generation toward success through encouragement, support, and practical coaching.

  • Brady Aulie - Coach

    Brady Aulie was born and raised in Lumsden and then moved back in 2016 to start his family. Brady and his wife, Nicole, have 4 young children who keep them constantly busy. Brady is currently a high school physical education and outdoor ed teacher in Southey and has taught in Southey for 10 years. Brady coaches football, basketball, flag football and track and field in Southey and really enjoys building strong connections with his students outside the classroom. 

    Brady played as many sports as he could growing up in Lumsden, including hockey, baseball, volleyball, badminton, track and field and football. Brady was lucky enough to earn a scholarship to play football with the University of Regina Rams football team where he played 5 years from 2009-2013. Brady also played junior AAA baseball and was part a of a team that competed in the Junior Baseball National Championships in 2009. Brady has played hockey his entire life and is proud of his 13 years with the Lumsden Monarchs Senior team representing his community and being named captain for 7 of those years. 

    Brady is excited to work with young aspiring athletes who want to improve their skills in their respective sports. Brady loves to work his athletes hard by fostering accountability, discipline and teamwork while keeping things fun and engaging. Brady is excited to help young people grow as athletes and as successful young citizens

  • Mat Nesbit - Coach

    Mathew Nesbitt lives in Lumsden with his wife Brittany and four very active children. He spent 15 years as a Youth Care Leader with Ranch Ehrlo and currently works with high school students at Campus Regina Public. He has been coaching in the Lumsden area since 2017 with the Learn to Play hockey program in Craven, LBMHA Lions and Lynx, Lumsden Soccer and Regina Youth Flag Football League. He is also looking forward to coaching the u14 Lumsden Devils football team in the fall.

    Mat grew up in Regina playing as many sports as he could. Hockey, volleyball, baseball, handball, badminton, basketball, rugby, martial arts, and football. He developed a passion for competition and team sports at an early age and has many fond memories of the amazing coaches he had in his time with Regina Minor Football. After attending Leboldus High School Mat played football with the Okanagan Sun(2006) and spent 5 years with the University of Regina Rams(2002-2005, 2007) while working on his kinesiology degree. Following his University career Mat was awarded the USports Presidents Trophy and named the top defensive player in Canada in 2007. After his time with the Rams he was lucky to have the opportunity to play in the CFL with the Edmonton Elks. Following his football career Mat played rugby with the Regina Rogues and began his career in child services working with at risk youth. 

    Since starting a family in 2013 Mat and his wife stay busy getting the kids where they need to go for all of their activities. 

    Mat is passionate about ensuring that all kids receive quality coaching and help to develop young people on and off the field/ice/court/diamond through teamwork in sport. He is extremely excited about the opportunity that Raised Athletics provides for the community as a whole in Lumsden. 

    Mat’s coaching certifications include Standard First Aid and CPR, Injury Prevention and Care, Hockey Sask Level 1/2 coaching certifications, Respect in Sport, Concussion Training Certification and Keeping Girls in the Game. 

  • Matt McGeough - Coach

    Matt lives in Lumsden Sk with his wife Brittany and two young children. Matt is coming up on his 20th year working with vulnerable youth and adults at Ranch Ehrlo Society as a Manager of Supportive Living Services.  

    The self proclaimed jack of all trades and master of none, Matt has played nearly all sports throughout his early and adult life. Matt has played high levels of lacrosse, football and hockey with a high school badminton provincial championship banner thrown into the mix. Matt joined the Lumsden Monarch’s senior hockey team for the 2006 season following his junior career in Notre Dame. 

    Matt believes sports are vital for young people. The overall importance of developing physical abilities, improving mental strength, and fostering social skills. Sports teach teamwork, discipline, and the importance of hard work.  

    Matt’s certifications include:

    First Aid/ CPR, Injury Prevention and Care, Hockey Sask level one and level two coaching certifications, Respect in Sport, Concussion Protocol.

  • Brittany McGeough - Coordinator

    Brittany is in charge of many behind-the-scenes tasks at Raised Athletics. She will also be developing and executing many of the children’s and drop in programming at Raised.

    Brittany has been an inclusive education teacher for the past 15 years. Adapting to people’s individual needs, thinking outside of the box, & creating connections is second nature to Britt.

    Brittany is a small-town girl whose heart is deeply rooted in her community, driven by a passion for giving back and helping young people discover their talents, as well as, find their voice. From a young age, she has been involved in a wide array of sports, clubs, and coaching roles, constantly immersing herself in activities like Ukrainian dancing, leadership councils, field hockey, volleyball, and even cheerleading for the Roughriders. Each of these experiences has helped shape her into a well-rounded mentor who is dedicated to passing on valuable lessons to the next generation. She believes there is no greater asset than the health and potential of our youth, and she strives every day to foster a supportive environment where young minds can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. Her commitment to the community and its future is unwavering, and she’s proud to be a guiding force for those who will shape tomorrow.
